Francis Family Photos

Well here we all are....Thanks to Tiffany's efforts to orchestrate family photo's. We all met for breakfast at Dennys, and then off to the mall for pictures.

Back row is Becca, Pauline, and Tiffany. Middle row is J.D., Randy, and Steven. Front row is Claire and Michael.

Here is Becca... the Lawyer,Claire ...the genius child, and J.D...the accountant. They are all a great infuence for good on each other, and work very well together.

Tiffany, the instigator of the photos was not really happy with any of her pictures. But here she is with hubby Michael. They are two really fun people!! What a good match for each other they are.

What a handsome mess-o-boys!!! J.D., Michael, and Steven, with papa Randy in front. I think they look like they could be related to the Watson kids. Michael even has a sideways grin like Devin. But of course he didn't have to crash and have stitches to get his.

And last is best of all the game...... little Claire. She just had her first birthday and can already say a whole slew of words. Her parents taught her to hold up one finger when you ask her how old she is. She is precious.

After our pictures we all headed out to Kaurchner Caverns to go on a fabulous tour of the cave. The only down side was that there was road construction and what should have been a 45 minuet trip ended up being more like 2 1/2 hours long. We missed our tour, but they were able to get us on a later one. The cave has some really fabulous formations. It was a really great birthday trip for Michael that Randy treated his kids to. Unfortunately no cameras were allowed, so we didn't get any pictures of it. Just take my word for it when I say it was ...faaaabulous Daaahling!!!!

'll figure this darned thing out yet!!

Here we are in Sedona looking throough the little shops. But in order to figure out this blog, you'll have to scroll down to the previous entry, because I didn't get this quite right and the entry I wanted to post was a complete one and not the messed up practice one I really submitted. I will get this right someday. (after I've made all the mistakes that can be made.....twice)
Sedona is an artsy fartsy place. Theyof course saw my natural beauty and wanted to sculpt a nude of me. I was a little intimidated at first, but they assured me that it would only be done in the best of taste. I think they got a pretty good likeness (except I'm not really green) what do you think?

after we looked through a lot of the little shops we drove out of town to where the area is beautiful and green around the river. Randy and I found a nice little spot to sit and soak up the sun, and green and listen to the water. They charged to even go park at all the picnic and camp grounds. But the weather was perfect and it was just a super great day.

A spontaneous moment

So Randy and I both had kinda a crapp week, and on Friday afternoon we were trying to decide what we wanted to do with our weekend. We just needed some fun and R&R. Randy suggested going to Sedona. A short 4 hours away. We figured we could drive there that night, play all day Saturday, and drive back Saturday night. Randy went on line and found a Comfort Inn about 2o miles away for about 90$

We stayed over night at Cazmp Verde, and almost got caught in their little town parade on the way out of town in the morning. Sedona is a touristy town that is kinda artsy fartsy. The indians believed that it was a spritual vortex. And there are a lot of new agers that would love to tell your fortune or sell you crystals there.

OK.......Soooooo I haven't really learned, or figured out how to post pictures yet, I'll have to get together with Ariane for some professional help. And Vanessa already beat me to it with her blog. But Randy and I are back to real life after a really wonderful trip to Alaska. Randy's favorite part was being on the halibut charter " at one with the ocean". He caught the biggest fish of the group. Does that count in the qualifications to become a real Alaska man? He can build a mean campfire, as well as be a sweet grandpa and play with the kids and hold the baby. What a man!!!! And the best part is he is always looking on craigslist and Yahoo to check out the job market and housing market in Palmer. We can at least dream!!!! It was really good to be with the kids and grandkids. My head (and heart) is still there with them alot of the time, and then I have to come back to reality occasionally. I have to get some photos downloaded on a disk to share before I can load them up here, so check back later.
